Reasons to attend a guest evening
Our guest evening is an opportunity to learn more about what Toastmasters is, meet some members of Ipswich Electrifiers and find out how you can get started on your Toastmasters journey. Whether you are interested in public speaking, leadership or just want to develop your communication skills, Toastmasters is the perfect place for you.
Toastmasters is an international organisation with clubs all over the world, Ipswich Electrifiers is your local club. We help our members develop their communication and leadership skills. It’s a great way to gain confidence, improve your public speaking abilities, share ideas in a supportive environment, or just meet new people.
During our guest evening in Ipswich, you will get an opportunity to find out what happens during an Ipswich Electrifers meeting. You’ll see our popular ‘Table Topics’ session, listen to some speeches and generally get a feel for why our members enjoy being a part of our club. You will also have an opportunity to get involved, if you wish to, or you can simply sit back and enjoy the meeting.
Our members join for a variety of reasons. Toastmasters focuses on communication and leadership skills; all members have access to ‘Pathways’, which is the Toastmasters supportive training programme. Pathways is proven to be really helpful for anyone who wishes to improve their public speaking, develop presentation skills or build confidence for those times in our work and personal lives when we are asked to ‘say a few words’.
